Restore. Return. Retell.

The stepping stones start here.
To restore the name. To proceed.
Her name?
Her name...

The heart still beats.

I Am Your Offspring

My father just finished showing me a song, intended to fall under the cultural music genre of Salsa. Handwritten on white, lined paper. He signed and dated it in the year of 2002, in early July. It is completely written in his mother tongue of Espanol.

As I listened and looked at the paper that consisted of one well thought out verse and a solid chorus, he told me that he was inspired and could not sleep on this night of July. It was beautiful & poetic. I cannot help but admire this newly found side of my father. Although it took 10 years to reach me, this inspiring experience has contributed to more clarifying knowledge of why I am, who I am.
...and who I'm becoming everyday.

I am your offspring and will always be so grateful to be your and Mom's son, and the older brother you gave me the opportunity to be.
Muchos gracias, Dados.

Love,

Tentatively Titled...For The Time Being

Tonight my family, the city of Temecula, and myself experienced a 2 1/2 hour blackout today from 4pm - 6:30pm. Minutes before the light came back into function I sat in my living room rattan couch, had my Ibanez acoustic/electric in hand, and looked at the way the lit candle, that supplied us with just enough light to see, sparked inspiration in me to take this simple photo.

I've been trying, in my best ability, to construct a fantasy tale that my inner personal thoughts proposed to me in January of 2009. The initiate inspiration for this project was and continues to be, an unreleased record that my former band called: Touching The Insidious, Seeing The Inseparable.

Feel free to download the record absolutely free of charge here:

It is in my deepest hopes that I will someday see this novel complete. And I hope that somehow in some way that my vision will have the chance to touch another's heart...no matter the length of years I'll have to witness before it's last words have spilled from my finger tips and onto the concluding pages.

Sincerely, Joseph Erain Gonzalez
